Up foryour considerationisa beautiful oscillating General Electric fan. It has been fully restored and every detail has been addressed to match the original specifications. General Electric was well known for building high quality fans in the early 1900\'s. This is the 42X528 model and has an 8\" blade. The blades, cage, motor housing and base are constructed of steel. This fan has one speed and a brass on/off switch. This small fan stands 11 1/2\" tall and swivels up, down, and left to right. Everything on this fan except the wiring is original. This fan was completely restored to meet the original factory specifications. Everything looks and functions just like it did when first manufactured. You can be assured, this is aprofessionalrestoration and you will not bedisappointed.

Restoration Process
1. The fan was fully disassembled, cleaned and all paint completely stripped to bare metal.
2. The surface was primed, sealed and 5 coats of factory matched dark greenenamelwas applied. Once applied and cured, the paint was hand rubbed to create a brilliant factory like finish.
3. All of the original brass hardware was cleaned and machine polished to a brilliant shine.
4. All of the original steel hardware was cleaned and re-treated with black oxide just like it originally was backin the1930\'s.
5. The motor was fully disassembled, cleaned, re-oiled and new antique style cloth covered wires installed. Everything functions just like it should.
6. The oscillator gear box was cleaned and filled with fresh grease.
7. A new 8 foot antique style cord and plug were installed that resemble the originals.
8. Reproduction instructions and green felt were applied to the bottom of the fan that are an exact replica of the original. You rarely see this kind of detail applied to a restoration.
9. New rubber wire grommets were installed on the base and motor housing.
10. Once everything was fully assembled, the fan wastested for 4 hours to make sure everything was working properly. The motor runs quite, strong and smooth, the blades are true, and oscillates properly. This fanoperates justlike the day it was made.Thefinal result is a stunning one of a kind functioning antique that will bringmany years of enjoyment.Thisfan is the perfect size to display in your office, on adesk or on a shelf.
Everything on thisfanworks as originally intended. No corners were cut during the refurbishment process.It was restored tomatch the original factory specifications and is a fine example of aprofessionalrestoration.
