This is for a rare Georgian antique steel travelling pocket etui from the early to mid 1700s. The etui is rare as its steel, steel ones are not common at all and what makes even nicer is the base has a hole with a thread that some of the tools inside screw into, thus allowing the etui case to be used as the handle. It has a case has a hinged lid that is released by the button on the side, the hinge itself is unique having a strange diamond lozenge shape and inside the case is fitted with a wooden frame that holds the tools inside. There are various tools, tweezers with an ear spoon, compass, rule, bodkin, pencil and collapsible scissors. All the hinged tools have the same circular markings. It is in very good condition, the lid sits flush to the case and he catch holds it shut. There is a dink on the case and apart from that the set is in excellent condition. The case stands 95mm (3.75\") tall by 35mm (1.3\") x 22mm nearly 1\" across at the lid.
