Offered here a very nice orange finish Gibson Model A Mandolin in excellent condition. Original tailpiece w/cover, tuning machines, perfect pickguard, bridge, frets, etc. The only replaced item is the strap button on the end which is a vintage reproduction. Great playing action, light fret wear, new strings and recent professional set-up. A very good player. No cracks, no repairs of any kind. Good top with no sinkage, solid top braces. The finish is really quite beautifully aged.
The Original Label is intact, but the serial number is unreadable. The factory order number is 11000 which gives it a 1917-1918 date of manufacture.
Comes in a Vintage Geib \"Challenge\" case made sometime in the late 1930\'s. The case is well worn, but closes nicely, is solid and stronger than modern chipboard cases. I am including a second bridge, a vintage reproduction made by Siminoff. The original bridge is installed on the instrument.

Just playing it this morning...almost don\'t want to sell it.
Try out the second bridge from Siminoff when you get it and decide which you like best. If you like to lay into it for bluegrass etc, you will probably want to stick with the original bridge.
