Goldfinger 16mm feature film(1964) starring Sean Connery.:
$158.00

16mm sound color film. 110 minutes on three reels, stored in a Goldberg fiber case. NOTE: Being almost 50 years old, unfortunately, the color has faded and turned pink, otherwise in great condition. There is no smell. Still a great and fun film. A true Bond Classic.

The film\'s plot has Bond investigating gold smuggling by gold magnate Auric Goldfinger and eventually uncovering Goldfinger\'s plans to contaminate the United States Bullion Depository at Fort Knox. Goldfinger was the first Bond blockbuster, with a budget equal to that of the two preceding films combined. Principal photography took place from January to July 1964 in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States.

The release of the film led to a number of promotional licensed tie-in items, including a toy Aston Martin DB5 car from Corgi Toys which became the biggest selling toy of 1964. The promotion also included an image of gold-painted Shirley Eaton as Jill Masterson on the cover of Life.

Many of the elements introduced in the film appeared in many of the later James Bond films, such as the extensive use of technology and gadgets by Bond, an extensive pre-credits sequence that stood largely alone from the main story line, multiple foreign locales and tongue-in-cheek humor. Goldfinger wa sthe first Bond film to win an Academy Award and opened to largely favorable critical reception. The film was a financial success, recouping its budget in two weeks.

In 1999, it was ranked #70 on the BFI Top 100 British films list compiled by the British Film Institute.

It is time for me to start to move my collection on to other collectors who appreciate film. Hate to part with anything but Stage 4 cancer has a way to change priorities. I’ve owned these films for over 50 years and have stored and cared for them properly. Future offerings will be King Kong with Fay Wray, Monkey Business w/the Marx Brothers, and Young Frankenstein. I also have TV shows: Wayne and Shuster take an affectionate look at the Marx Brothers, 2 different Naked Cites, 4 different 12 o’clock high and a Star Trek the Ultimate Computer. Other films too. Also have some neat shorts to be listed later a swell.

THE POSTERS SHOWN IS NOTPART OF THIS sale. I JUST PULLED THE IMAGES OFF THE INTERNET TO SHOW IT AS IT RELATES TO THE FILM. AGAIN, THE POSTERS SHOWN HERE IS NOT PART OF THIS sale. I DO NOT OWN THEM.

Shipment will be by media mail.
