GOOD PAIR CHINESE EXPORT DEEPLY CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER VASES EARLY REPUBLIC ERA For Sale

For sale is presented a good quality early Republic era Chinese deeply carved cinnabar lacquer pair of vases having the seldom seen mint/turquoise green enamel interiors with extra deep carving into 100s of hand applied coats of lacquer over metal blanks. These vases were produced in China sometime in the early to possibly mid Republic era and were most likely sold as export items. This pair of cinnabar vases are extremely fine in workmanship and details the color is a strong bright red however not as bright as some of my photos as I use a bit more lighting at times to show the details better so that any prospective buyers always know what they will bereceivingwith no surprises. As one looks at the sides of the deep carving you will see the many, many lines or layers of applied coats which is never there on the fakes so these areguaranteedto be 100% hand made and carved cinnabar lacquer objects. The scenes on each vase are in mirrored images of each other with only subtle differences and the fine details of the figures faces, buildings, trees, fences and geometric background designs are as good as most any antique vases that are much older as they are quite impressive and the patterns of scroll work, boarders and lotus flowers to the outside of the figural reserves are again in high relief and very well done. Condition of both are excellent with no chips, losses, damage or problems of any kind just having a few tight age splits in the top and bottom edges next to the brass/bronze rings and what appears to be a few infills on those edges as well but aside from those insignificant flaws they are super. Sizes Height 6-1/2\" x Width 4\". I normally do not buy cinnabar objects much later than the c1920s but even though these could be a bit newer I could not pass up the quality workmanship and depth of relief, and the winner will not be disappointed in these what so ever so offer withconfidence!
