Gorgeous 1912 Pathe Disc Phonograph w/Hemispheric Horn & Heavily Carved Cabinet For Sale

I think it\'s safe to say that if -- after checking out all my listings this week -- you can\'t find anything that interests you, you either aren\'t really looking, or there\'s nothing in the world that you find interesting anymore. I\'ve put together what\'s probably the largest, best and cleanest assortment of mechanical, technological and musical antiques of the year, and regardless of how discriminating your tastes might be, I think you\'ll find something you like.Here\'s a large, beautiful, all-original, 100+ year old Pathe table-top disc phonograph with a rear firing horn whose hemispheric bell both amplifies the sound and diffuses it around the room. This was Pathe\'s highest priced table-top machine, and it\'s housed in a heavily carved walnutcabinet that looks gorgeous from every angle.
Condition is excellent throughout. The cabinet retains its original finish, and the original multi-colored Pathe decal on the front of the phonograph is still vibrant. All four cabinet feet are original. There are scattered minor marks in the cabinet\'s finish consistent with its age and authenticity, but the overall condition of the cabinet is excellent, and the shellac is still glossy, with minimal wear. The faux walnut paint on the hemispheric bell is original, and it\'s in excellent condition, with no flaking, no significant scratches, no deterioration.The crank is original and correct, and it\'s in excellent condition,with typical oxidation but no damage. The mechanism is in excellent working order, and the phonograph will play multiple records with a single winding. The original Pathe reproducer sounds great, and the motor and gearing run smoothly.
With the lid lowered, the phonograph measures approx. 18\" wide by 18\" deep by 15\" high. Shipping weight, properly packed, will be approximately 50 lb.I\'ve been selling and shipping antique phonographs, antique radios and antique scientific apparatus for more than 25 years. Sure, you can probably get a lower price from Joe and Janet Barn-Find, but when your \"bargain\" arrives broken, and without any hint of how it works or how you might be able to put it back together, you\'ll realize that you really do get exactly what you pay for.
