One of Hickok\'s better models .. second generation of the original 500 series testers. This model will test most of the small transmitting tubes (under 25 watts), voltage regulator tubes, the old large pin tubes from the 20\'s, 30\'s, plus all 40\'s, 50\'s & early 60\'s tubes. This 750 and the very expensive 752 replaced all the 500 and 600 series testers in the early 1960\'s.
It\'s in very nice condition ... original fabric covered case is way better than usually seen ... some minor spots and tiny tears but generally in great shape. The panel is clean .. shows some shiny spots from long use around the shorts test switch and the roll chart thumbwheel. Seems to work fine .. I succesfully tested a variaty of octal and earlier 4 and 5 pin tubes. The only problem area I found was the 9 pin mini socket which has very loose pins .. it will likely require replacement or at the very least tightning to be functional. The roll chart moves OK but gets stiff at the extreems of its travel .. common problem and easily solved by pulling the chart out and re-rolling onto the spindle. Looks like it was last calibrated back in 1975 so it\'s way overdue!
Nice working Hickok 750 in very clean condition .... It will need calibration and should be gone over by a pro prior to extended use. All the components appear to be original.
