Very good condition and guaranteed original HungarianMannlicher Steyr M95 rifle bayonet that is a very rare variation produced usingthe blade from an Austrian Model 1854 Lorenz musket socket bayonet. Left sideof blade has partially visible manufacturer markings, left side of guard has aHungarian Gendarmerie unit marking. Bayonet has bright metal finish with somescattered brown and gray.17 ¾” blade has a few nicks to the edge. Wood gripshave original finish and a good tight fit, right side has an old chip missing.Lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that hasoriginal black finish showing some wear and a few dents. Also complete withcorrect original leather frog that is mostly pliable with some wear. Stitchingand rivets are nice and tight. Has extra belt slits cut in the back. A veryrare Hungarian Gendarmerie bayonet that will make a fine advanced addition toyour collection.
