Up for sale is an exceptionally rare pair of Theodore Deck French Faience Vases. The vases are very rare and sought after examples that would have been produced c1860-1880. The vases have an amazingly vibrant glaze commonly referred to as Persian-Blue. The vases are finely carved throughout decorated in a rarely seen Chinese archaic dragon design. The vases are fresh from a Toronto estate collection and have not been offered on the open market for several decades at the very least. The vases have been drilled to the bases. I am told most examples like this made were later made into lamps or were also originally drilled and mounted with bronze fittings. As seen the vases have chips to the base rims that could be restored quite easily if one desired. The vases are otherwise in substantially fine original condition with no other chips, cracks, or repairs. The vases have also been closely inspected under UV black light, which reveals absolutely no restoration of any kind. The vases display beautifully measuring 10 inches tall, by 10 inches wide.

I was able to find two pairs of vases mounted as lamps that very recently sold in April of this year at Christies, as seen. The one pair that achieved 25,000 are identical to these vases. An identical single example can also be found in the Musee Unterlinden in Colmar France. I have personally never seen another pair like these being offered on , leading me to believe this is a very rare opportunity to acquire some highly sought after examples. As by sales have run for upwards of 12 years saleing online, and as commissioned by the estate these exceptionally rare vases will be sold to the highest buyer with Absolutely !
