Although made in china... the welding seam could be just a bit more even but that's not a problem at all because thats just cosmetics... the main good thing I like about this can is the great price and the great design where it doesn't spill any fuel. The attachment doesn't have an air hole in it like I noticed on more expensive cans so it won't leak gas through there.... it might take a min or two long to pour but it won't leak and I liked that.

I've had it less than a month, and when I attempted to open the can, the thin metal on the flap on the cover bent, and I had to make some effort to bend it back to it's previous shape in order to close the can again. In addition, after I opened the can, I notice a small amount of rust on the bottom of the flap to the cover. (There is some humidity where the can was stored.) I'm not optimistic about what it will look like in 6 or 12 months. Spend some more money & get something that will last.

This is a really good product at a great price. I find only one thing that keeps it from being perfect. A locking pin is provided to keep the filler cap in place. The pin has a flattened area at one end with a hole for a small retainer chain to prevent it from being lost during filling or emptying. ... The pin is there but there is no retainer chain to prevent the pin from being lost. It's the little details that make the difference between good and great.

What I expected, good as a can to travel with spare fuel. One problem I foresee in the design is that the separate spout has a gasket that easily falls out, and if it loses it's gasket then pouring the gas becomes a leaky mess. I glued it in with epoxy, but a better design would have it fitting tight to begin with. Still, for the price it looks good. Ask me how it worked a year from now.

I bought 20 of these cans because I didn't like that my plastic 5 gallon cans would swell-up in the heat of the day and contract in the cool overnight. The metal that these cans are constructed of is so thin that these cans swell and contract with the heat and cool; the cans are all now misshapen are is covered in creases from the thermal cycling. I can see that it won't be long before the seams leak or the creases crack open. They were a total waste of money; I'll now have to spend more to buy REAL military cans.
