I would give this 5 stars except for the fact that the remote doesn't have a power button. To turn the unit on or off, one must manually push the power button on the unit vs being able to control this necessary function by the remote. Not a fatal flaw, but one the makes it a little less convenient to use.

Unit does not allow for the shuffle feature to shuffle both CDs and songs. This has always been a feature on previous players since the early 90s and believed it would be w/this unit. Very disappointed.

I am used to the old unit that I have had around since around 1988. This unit that replaces the old RCA CD player is not quite as crisp and seems slightly weaker in bass response. With all of the units out there this one seemed like the best deal for the money. I will try it more extensively this week and if it doesn’t measure up I will have to send it back. I have not looked up how much a repair on my old player would cost.

Works very well on my Barndominiam Porch. We really enjoy the music outdoors.
