Plays everything including windows format music.Radio is good and I have no trouble picking up the stations. I work underneath chillers and a boning room and previously could never listen to a radio. Very happy

Purchased this to replace a 10+ year old small Sony boombox for a relative too old to deal with bluetooth speakers. Problems so far; 1. Poor reception compared to old unit can not pull in smaller community stations 2. CD/Cassette/radio selection button tiny and hard to operate. 3. Tuning knob too sensitive, so hard to tune in. 4. Build quality seems poorer compared to previous unit, e.g. plastic flimsier, power cable thinner and easy to pull out, no AM radio. 5. Sound quality is about the same as the previous unit however portable bluetooth speakers with similar size drivers have better sound so you are not getting any of that new technolgy here. In my opinion, portable CD/Cassette players are considred a dead market segment by major manufacturers so they are all cheap garbage, not worth buying.Read full review

I have an older quality Alpine cassette player in a truck of mine and thought it would be good to make some mixed tapes. I made a few tapes with my old CD/tape recorder but it died so I bought this one to replace it. The sound quality when recording from CD or mp3 to cassette with this new unit is poor. The unit is OK otherwise (listening to CD or tapes recorded on quality units) but don’t expect much if you want to record onto cassettes.

I bought this as I have no radio at home and also wanted just a little cd player for the kitchen. The radio is really hard to tune in with lots of crackling and static sound unless turned very low. The cd works ok but there is no volume to speak of, full blast is still quite soft!!!! For the same $ I bet there are better options out there, I'm sorry I bought this one... :(
