The kit is full of intricate detail and goes together well. The finished model is spot-on! I'm very pleased with it. There are a few errors in the instruction diagrams with lines pointing to the wrong places to glue parts, especially with the engine accessories, such as the ignition coil and the belt & pulleys. I had to refer to photos of an actual engine to figure out exactly which pieces went where so that it all fit together correctly. Other than those few misdirections, I had a lot of fun building this old truck from my teen years. I've waited a long time for this model to be released!

I have been building scale models for over 45 years, and Moebius has put out the best kits I've seen so far, including this kit. The proportions are accurate, and the details are crisp and clean. Along with the short bed pickups offered through Model King, you can build almost every version ever made of this series from 1967 to 1972. My only complaint is that there is no option to build a 4x4 version as of yet, but I've written to Mobius, and they may already be working on my suggestion. I've made a few 4x4s through scratch building and kit bashing, and they have all turned out great. I love this kit! I plan to buy several more...lots of ideas about what versions to add to my collection. So far, I've built a 1969 Short bed custom 4x4, a 1970 Long bed Custom 4x4, a short bed 1971 custom step side bed 4x4 and a 1970 Short bed XLT Ranger in 4x4 trim. Model King will likely put out the 1967 and 1968 trucks soon. Perhaps that is where my long pined for 4x4 kit will present itself. I can't wait!Read full review

actually I bought 5 of these trucks 1 I am going to use for a build of a step side 4x4 I used to own in real life . I bought another truck of the same because I broke the side chrome moldings on it . the others I bought because I liked the truck short box & long box . the model it's self is a great model as far as being very detailed & all the markings of bolts r very detailed true to the real thing . I am an auto mechanic & I have done work on these kind of trucks & I see the great detail in the models to the full scale trucks very good stuff I love them .

This an extremely well made and well detailed kit and I love the box art, truly a premium product among kit manufacturers. These trucks look great painted in two tone colors like red and white or dark and light greens and blues. Sad to see the lack of an optional straight-6 engine option like the '69 model had. I originaly planed to combine the '69 cab with the frame and long bed from the '72 but I would have to do some serious work with the side molding trim and rear red parking lamps and reflectors, a project for the future. The 1970 should be released any day now and I'm looking forward to seeing that one. Maybe it will help the conversion out a little but I will have to research on that. I will build it 1969 Long Bed XLT two tone dark and medium/light blue (maybe slightly weathered red and white) black interior with either the 6 cylinder or a big block V8 (460 cid) and a 3 on the tree manual transmission. I will have to find side view mirrors from my parts box because these are a little to big for the correct scale proportions. I bought this factory sealed new/unopened at a damaged goods discount price due to some very slight crushing of the box.Read full review

I love this model kit. It is very realistic. In fact, it is the most realistic model I have ever bought! You can actually see through the grille, like on a real truck! It even has actual body trim that you glue on! It has a 390 FE engine and lots of cool interior details. I love this model and would recommend it to anyone!
