Plug and play basically. Only downside is that it has to be hardwired if u want to connect online. Since I have a smart tv, don't need to connect the player too so no big issue for me. If you are looking to go online with it you will have to run wire from modem or maybe but a usb type of witless antenna.

This is a very solid blu-ray player that I have used on many installs and have yet to be let down. The netflix feature is nice and streams good quality movies directly to the TV. Many customers debate whether or not to step up to the N460 as they do not currently use netflix. The nice thing about this player is that not only does it play netflix, it also plays many other internet video and audio sources. The only negative thing I have heard regarding this player is that it is not wifi. You can purchase a wifi link module, or there are other solutions if a Ethernet cable cannot be ran to the unit. However from my own experience the wifi blu-ray players do not perform as well as the hard wired players. The player is very intuitive and the new cross-bar navigator can take you through all the different media formats easily. This is a great blu-ray player to purchase for most customers, it future proofs you for upcoming media content, all your updates occur automatically over the internet (no burning update cds), and unless you need a 3D blu-ray player, really there is nothing better.Read full review
The n460 a nice blue ray player, Comes with the option of direct conect with Netflix & Amazon, Although it requires a direct either net conection, or you will have to by wet610n wireless bridge to use the blu ray wireless. Around 100.00 You can sync this with your sony flat screen to combine remotes although it seams you still need both remotes becuse lack of functions on both? I rate it a good unit, but think sony droped the ball with no wireless built in, and you still need both remotes. Having said this you could buy a cheaper blu-ray and a rouke box and still have the same functions with about 2/3 the cost. upon set up you must register units a little complicated, I must say sony has AAA+++ customer suport. I am happy.
great bluray player. i dont really care about 3d because of all the other stuff you have to buy. the only complaint i have is that it is not wireless ready like other bluray players where you can just buy a wifi usb adapter but i already have a wired network so not a big deal. another thing is that it does not have on board memory to use bluray live features. again it does not effect me since i have numerous usb drives that i do not use that is greater than 1 gb. does bluray very well and its network services are working so i am satisfied.
