Of course, if you may or may not know, Michael Jackson is deemed hands-down one the greatest technical and creative minds in the entertainment business to have ever lived. And his extended music videos, begining with the ever-amazing "Thriller", go on into history as landmarks of his legacy. "Moonwalker" is a compilation of a number of music videos (or short films, as they sometimes have been catergorized) compiled into one streaming roll of glory. In all its greatest, "Moonwalker" is most likely going to be more appreciated by undying Michael Jackson fans than someone that's just looking to pick and critique at a plot or some main point of focus because that's not what this short film is about - it's music videos! But music videos that are along the lines of Thriller, with characters, dialogue, a brief storyline, and the rest is all music. If you're a MJ nerd like me, then its a must have for fans and collectors. It is where the Smooth Criminal video comes from. It has a few video performances that aren't really on any current DVDs. He shows off his true creative side in this feature length film. If you respect true genius like the late great Michael Jackson, then make the investment and get yourself a copy of Moonwalker!!
When I bought this video, I knew it was old and I wasn't expecting it to be in perfect condition. I was hoping to at least have it play so I could watch it with my 6 year old son. It had been years since I had seen it and my son had never seen it. When I opened the package, I was pleasently suprised that it was in great shape. The box and the video tape it self. We watched it that night and it worked great. My son has watched it about 100 times since then. He rewinds it and watches it over and over agian! Thank you for a great video and for it being in great shape!
this dvd has short clips of some of his videos - not the full video for each song listed on the cover- very deceiving. its a couple short clips which leads into a weird story about a girl in danger and michael needs to save her. I feel this was a weird story even for michael to produce, pretty disappointing also it was pretty boring where i wasnt even interested and wanted to turn it off. Not worth much the $10. i spent was too much maybe if someone was giving it away. just watch mtv to see his videos.
I bought this VHS because I an a Michael Jackson fan. I had seen 'Moonwalker' only once before, but I knew I wanted to own it. I have watched it several times. I like it because it is easy to use in my VCR player, and I can pause it if I need to do something else. If there is anything to dislike about this item, it would only be that I wish the quality of the VHS were better, more clear.
