The best butane insert
I have tried all the major brands of replacement torch inserts; and the original Zippo single torch is still the best. Look - nothing is particularly well-made anymore. You can get a bad zippo; but they are a lot more likely to function correctly out of the box. Even the good Zippos might only last a year; but the others generally fail much sooner (and when it matters). The single is enough - 4 jets equals 4 more potential failures. Are you smelting copper or lighting a cigarette / stove / campfire?. I find that the Zippo single torch is the most reliable and longest lasting insert. Is this really made by Zippo?
Nowhere near the old version using lighter fluid. Hard to near impossible to fill, lasts only days before it quits working, only lights on the 4th or 5th try & forget about lighting in the wind. Pretty much a total failure.

Good product dies the job easy refill
I have used since they began making I use for cigars. If you are a cigarette smoker flame doesn't stay on without holding the button depressed, I have seen many people complain its a torch not soft flame in original using lighter fluid not gas. The ignition takes 2 or 3 tires to fire once it heats up no issue on continuous ignition. The only bad thing is the piezzo igniters don't last over a year. If you are handy you can replace $4.00 each if you have the time. Otherwise for the price its great. Zippo makes an insert metal more sturdy a few dollars more. I have used since they began making I use for cigars. Excellent jet insert
So far so good. Great quality, solid as you would expect from Zippo, fits my Zippo shell perfectly. Works great, however, as other state, you have make sure that you completely purge all air from the insert before filling. If you do not, then you may run into the issue of it not staying lit when you hold the button down (goes out after a second or two). I had that issue, I purged all air completely, then refilled and it works awesome. Stays lit as long as I hold the button down.So far so good. Great butane lighter!
I use lighters for pipes and cigars and other things like BBQ cooking and candles. This insert by Zippo works great. The flame can be directed downward to light a pipe or candle, is very hot, and the Zippo case (I bought separately) provides great protection.
