Apparently at one time it was fairly common to reload 22 call ammo. The knowledge base disappeared with the advent of plentiful cheap 22 ammo years ago. Now 22 lr ammo has become expensive and hard to find. This is an alternative to the problem of no ammo. Depending on who gets elected and circumstances beyond your control. Also an interesting adjunct to your reloading bench. Try it, you might like it.

The quality of the material the mold is made of is pretty good. The idea of the process is a pretty good idea. We tried to make the primer material out of strike anywhere matches. Be very very careful while make this. We reloaded 10 long rifle 22 shells. The primer did not work for us, all except for one of the 10 were a dud. The third reload we tried failed to fire out of the rifle but went off when it was ejected and hit the ground. . The bullet mold worked great and crimped very good. it did not get hot while casting about 30 bullets. A little lead goes a long way making these 22 cal. bullets. We had a couple of miss haps while making the primer material, but it made me 10 years younger I think. I didn't know I could be so quick. The guys and I will try again another day. Unless you can get a better primer material that is reliable, this is very expensive to look at hanging on my shop wallRead full review
