I bought this because I don't have wood working tools and deal with chronic pain. I like the idea of assembling nice arcade cabinets for friends and thought this might be a good kit that would require less work on my part. What you actually get is cut very roughly and will take a decent amount of sanding to look anywhere near nice. The cuts are quite uneven and it will take some work to make it presentable. If I knew this upfront, I wouldn't have purchased because I lack tools and the physical strength to make this work. I would easily pay another $50 for a kit like this with panels that are sanded. I think the EXAMPLE pictures are a bit misleading. Having said that, I will instead look at this as a challenge and try to rise up to it. Shipping was very fast. That was nice.

This is a kit that has all of the wood pieces cut for you. That's it. It's exactly what it claims to be. The plywood quality is very good and withstands all of the test fitting and sliding around that you'll end up doing. The cuts require only minimal sanding as I expected, and the parts fit very snugly, which is perfect for a clean finished piece. There was a lot of learning during completion of this kit and I'll break that down for you. In order to install T moulding, you'll need to route out a groove. This kit does not come with one, so plan ahead. Route the sides for sure, and front of the console if you plan on putting moulding there. This kit fit a 20" Dell 2007 4:3 ratio screen with very little room to spare. I did not consider the postion of my speakers before hand, and you'll likely want to drill holes for them. Be sure to test fit the monitor mounting board to ensure that you leave enough room for speakers. The console board is the same 3/4" ply as the rest of the kit, so I routed a spot for the joysticks. You'll likely want to consider this as well, so between t-molding and joystick placement, a router was needed to finish the kit properly. The finish of the wood is again great quality. It takes paint well and is smooth which made applying side graphics a breeze and looks like a finished product. I would certainly consider buying another of these kits especially now that I have a lexan cutting too, a friend with a router, and a 1 1/16th" t-molding bit. If you follow the assembly instructions provided in the listing, you'll get most of the way there. I used screws and found out the hard way that you should route *everything* before final assembly or you'll grind through some screws with the router bit.Read full review

This package is exactly what it is stated to be. I would recommend it to most* buyers. Parts you receive will require 'power tool' modifications to work properly with popular "happ style" controls. Depth of controls make front panels in group useless, be prepared to find other mounting holes for 1 and 2 player buttons or other controls one might install on front panel. Wood is virtually void free along cut edges and required very little fill and sand to make primer ready. If you are familiar with High School wood shop and own a power drill - this kit is a great value.
