Good picture quality, but it can not read certain files; for instance it can read everything I downloaded from the net, but it does not recognize anything I filmed with my DSLR Canon, Nikon P900, or my Sony. I bought this particular model because it has the zoom option, that zoom button is (or it should be) on the remote. The remote I received must be from a different model since there is no zoom button. Now I have to shop for the proper remote.

Have had the player for about a month. Liked it so much I bought another one for a different room in my house and I bought another for a friend who also loves it. The wifi is easy to set up is nice (fewer messy cables). I readily connect to the internet, my pc, or play DVDs. The price is nice (~$210) for a good quality player with all these features (wifi, hard drive, etc.). The machine is aesthetically pleasing. It loads up the DVDs, Netflix, etc. pretty quick. And I like that the fast-forward and rewind have multiple speeds. I have loaded up a considerable amount of music on the hard drive and am still less than 5GB used. There are two things that I don't like. First, I would like to be able to store DVDs on the hard drive so that I can access my library w/o having to rummage thru a bunch of DVD cases. Second, whenever you have to enter text (such as passwords to access my PC, or naming folders, etc.) you have to use the up/down/left/right navigation buttons to highlight the desired letter, number, character on the screen; this is pretty tedious especially if you need to toggle back and forth between lower case or capital letters. A QWERTY keyboard, as I have seen in other remotes, would certainly make this easier.Read full review
This was a replacement for the same LG Blu-Ray player I owned that was damaged when I had to move. I needed it for my vast collection of regular Blu-Ray movies since I'm not investing in any 4K ones, & the new regular LG BD players I saw have the same features. It came in mint-looking condition with the last updated LG firmware for it, & works beautifully with the remote I kept from the damaged unit, an even better buy for what is an older unit than I'd honestly expected, I am very satisfied!

I use this mainly for streaming 720P mkv files, and it does an excellent job using my ATT 2Wire router from my Dell vostro laptop. Sometimes I peruse the Divx channel, which is included with the Netflix and Pandora. It works quite well except for the AOL channel, which buffers during high traffic times. Now I save a lot of time from burning dvd-rws. Picture is very crisp and detailed. It will reveal any deficiencies of your video files, particularly standard def avi ones. It was very easy to set up. I saw my My Documents files right away after typing in my ten digit passkey number. You just click on the file you want to see, and it plays without a hitch. I love this machine!
