Read carefully before buying THIS HAS A SMOOTH BORE as in no rifling I bought an insert for a .410 to 22lr hoping it would be a great addition and add more versatility. It does but you may not hit a soda can past 7 yards and couldn't imagine a squirrel. I'm shooting out of a 20 inch barrel the rounds seems to hit the barrel making it more inaccurate. It should of came with a dowel of some sort because you will need something to extract the case so bring a long nail with you. The quality is good and it does fire its off center so the striker hits the 22lr rim right where it has to. With practice and maybe 500 hundred rounds I think you will be able to understand where the round will go and at what yardage. This is an honest review I am not trying to bash any product but this is my experience and you'll probably come out with the same conclusion it works but if only I could hit a soda can past 5 yards this thing would be great. I received one of these as a birthday present. I have a stevens 410 single that I keep around as a vermin dispatcher. On occasions even the 410 is too loud or will make too much of a mess. Like when dispatching a cornered copperhead under the porch where a hoe want get to it, or a pesky intruder in the attic. That's when the 22 shot comes in handy. In rifles or handguns the rifling throws the shot into a pretty much non dependable pattern. With this, and my stevens 25" full choke, I get pretty darn good patterns. Its an excellent little package for tiny critters.

This is a handy little item to have. It's actually no larger than a .410 cartridge and fits right in your ammo pouch. Of course, there are rifled slugs in .410 gauge, but they tend to weigh about 90 grains, or about the same as a .380. A 9mm round is capable of much more. By no means would this turn the .410 into a high powered rifle, but it would give one a bit extra oomph if it was needed.

Chamber adapter is nicely hand made and although it didn’t have rifling, it appear that based on the chamber, it would be good for close range. Will not fit the Taurus Judge. Sits about 5mm outside the cylinder, so don’t waste your times.
