Introducing The New Generation Adjustable reverse pedal.

This is simply the best reverse pedal available on the market.

This new pedal will fit all John Deere 425-445-455 garden tractors, with or without a cab. The OEM rubber foot pad with arrow is included. This pedal will give you the maximum speed in reverse as well as the option to adjust the rubber pad up and down for the height of the pedal that is best for you and also the speed that you choose to travel in reverse from (slow to fast). All of my reverse pedals are of an original design and of my own creation. Please check out my other revised reverse pedals listed on , that fit other lawn and garden tractors.

Why The Adjustable Option.

Not everyone wants to travel as fast in reverse as this pedal will allow. People have mentioned to me in the past that they really like the option to adjust this pedal up or down, for the speed that is just right for them as well as the option to adjust the height of the pedal that is most comfortable for the operator. The adjustable option is a great design, and is preferred by many people. When our children or grandchildren get to that responsible age to start mowing, you will have the option to slow your tractor down to a slower more comfortable speed with a very simple adjustment of the OEM John Deere rubber foot pad that comes on this adjustable pedal.

If you look at the fourth picture above, you will see a HUGE difference in the thickness of the block that slides onto the shaft that I use on my New Generation adjustable and non-adjustable reverse pedals, compared to what other sellers use on their so called heavy duty reverse pedals.

My background.

I have been involved in welding manufacturing for numerous years, including Mig, Tig, Arc, Stick, Pulse, Spray transfer and a variety of others. I held a government welder certification for General Dynamics through the 1980\'s; during that time I was trained to build the best military equipment in the world.

There are other revised reverse pedals available; however, I would caution you to inspect their quality and durability very closely, as well as the speed others will offer. As you can see from the photo (featuring a size 12 work boot) this pedal allows plenty of foot room; which will accommodate a very large foot size. This reverse pedal is a perfect fit for anyone and is designed to cut down on your mowing time; which in return will save you money on gas.

Things you should consider before your purchase.

Please Note. By doing any adjustment on the factory linkage to gain more speed in reverse (as other sellers may claim) will only slow your tractor down in forward speed.

What speed you gain in reverse is lost in forward, and what speed you gain in forward is lost in reverse. So adjusting the factory linkage is a lose / lose situation, and I do not recommend doing any adjustment to the factory linkage. This pedal will give you maximum speed in reverse without adjusting the factory linkage.

1. Looks. Do you want a pedal that looks like it was made for your tractor. (looks like factory with OEM rubber pad) Not a rubber pad from a Simplicity Dealer like others use on their low profile pedal.

2. Foot / Boot Clearance. A pedal that gives you plenty of foot / boot clearance. (as shown in the picture) There is about a 1/2 inch difference in foot room from others on the market.

3. Comfort. Are you looking for a pedal that is so easy to use, very comfortable and user friendly, that you can (operate with your bare feet if you wish)

Very easy to install. Remove the set screw from on your current plastic pedal. Slide the old pedal off of the shaft and replace with your new generation revised reverse pedal. The entire process should take no more than 5 minutes or less.
