La Chapelle Metal Clarinet in a Double Metal Clarinet Case:
$32.78

Here is a vintage metal clarinet under the name La Chapelle. This horn was made in the US and I have absolutely no knowledge of this company. The clarinet itself is somewhat playable, but the pads are pretty old and don\'t seal properly. Sounds kind of stuffy to me. You can practice clarinet repads on this horn, or could even turn it into a lamp. Since it is nickel plated, it will not tarnish like the silver plated clarinets do. The case is probably not original to this horn, but obviously was set up for a matching Bb and A set of metal clarinets. If you have an A metal clarinet you may want to offer on this sale just for the case. I think the case could use a little work underneath the velvet lining. Here are some photos:
I\'m phasing out of and selling musical merchandise and focusing on having an \'estate sale\' as such for my own estate LONG before my eventual demise. At least I hope it\'s way in advance. I\'m trying to be aggressive. So here\'s my plan. Start all sales low and with . Recognize the fact that I\'ll lose money on some or perhaps everything I sell. If you like bargains, you may want to save my handle and watch my sales. Regarding shipping. I don\'t package items until I have been paid, just in case there are special considerations. I also only ship Monday through Friday. The two-day response turnaround time is business days only which does not include weekends. Turnaround time doesn\'t start until I\'ve been paid. I find that some winning buyers take quite awhile before they make payment, and then expect me to drop everything in my life and ship the item within a couple hours of making payment. That sometimes happens in big businesses that are operating 24/7, but I\'m just a guy getting rid of stuff he\'s accumulated with a full life full of obligations and activities. A two day turnaround after getting paid is usually possible and I do my best to promptly ship. International shipping. I don\'t ship anything outside the US borders. has made this way too complicated for me.... let\'s say risky! So, for a guy like me, it is absolutely not worth the risk. Starting a Claim. I have ADHD which causes occasional forgetfulness. However, I am very obsessive about shipping out my items ASAP after I have been paid. I like to ship them out within 24 hours, but sometimes I forget to log onto and create the automatic notification it has been shipped and/or what the tracking number is. If you think I may have forgotten to ship out something to you, just email me before filing a claim. I had a guy do this to me last year. I had a lot of medical things going on with my family and in the confusion I forgot to mark it as shipped. The buyer did not contact me, but as soon as the 7 day waiting period expired, he slapped me with a case. Paypal took my money back. The item was delivered the very next day, and my money was returned to me. I have since blocked this guy from ever offerding on one of my sales. This was a lot of nonsense for no reason. So, before you take action of some sort, I just ask that you communicate with me and give me a chance to come through, or at least let you know what\'s going on. I\'m pretty responsible and I go the extra mile for my customers. Retracting Your offer

If you made a offerding error and wish to retract the offer, please do not email me and ask me to correct your error for you. It is very easy to retract offers on your own through . Here is the site for such things. Retract Your offer. I recommend having the item number copied prior to going to that site. sometimes changes it\'s URL locations, so please let me know if the above link becomes invalid.

Picking up an item in person - I do allow this, but I have turned this option off on the sale listing due to a few naughty buyers who choose to pay for items they purchase, but do not pay for shipping even though they clearly do not intend to pick it up. If you want to pick up an item in person, I don\'t mind. I can refund the shipping cost, not a problem.

Shipping Costs More Than Postage - Please keep in mind that postage is NOT the only expense to shipping, but is the biggest and most obvious expense. There is also the cost of the packing materials, transporting the stuff to the carrier, and now charges their fees on amounts charged for shipping, as does paypal. So if I have charged $10 for shipping and the postage amounts to $9.00 I am only getting $8.70 in payment after and paypal take out their bite. In such a scenario I\'m losing money on the shipping. It is only in scenarios in which the buyer has paid more than 13% above the cost of postage, shipping materials and travel costs that it is possible that they have paid more than the cost of shipping, thanks to and paypal policies. I don\'t like it and neither should you but it\'s a fact of life. One of my fears in life is that I will die prematurely (and when I die, no matter my age, it WILL be premature) and my family will try to dispose of my huge collection of stuff(hoarding issues here!) with no clue that some of the stuff that looks like junk is valuable and some of the nice looking stuff is not so valuable. So I\'m beating them to the punch as best I can and hopefully no reason to hurry! In general, I avoid shipping internationally for pricey or bulky items, but I do make exceptions if the buyer contacts me first and we discuss things. However, I want to be EXTREMELY CLEAR that I will NOT ship any saxophone internationally. I\'d rather NOT sell the instrument. Other things I\'ll consider. Also, instead of emailing me and asking what it costs to ship, go to the USPS website and check out International Rates first.

has aggressive policies to protect buyers which is fine. However, these policies make it extremely difficult for sellers to ship pricey items overseas and still maintain sellers’ protection rights. The stumbling block is that items that sell for $250 and above must be signed for by the buyer or there is NO buyers’ protection. Well, I’m just a guy trying to sell my stuff I’ve accumulated over a lifetime and raise a few dollars to send my youngest to school. I can’t afford to take big chances.

For this reason, there are many cases where I just can’t find a reasonable way to ship overseas. For this I am truly sorry. Sometimes there is a way to find a solution around this, but every situation has to be handled on an individual basis.

Most the stuff I\'ll be selling right now won\'t be \'pricey\' so this is not likely to be a big issue, but there may be exceptions. Just contact me if you have doubts.
