My father passed recently and his used tackle shop was filled to the rafters with rods, reels, tackle and lures. For 25 years he bought fishing stuff at local garage and estate sales, even entire inventories of tackle shops going out of buisiness. His shop is filled with both vintage and new items. He repaired reels and rods and never put one out to sell unless it was cleaned, repaired and often with new line on the reels and new eyelets on rods missing them. A generation of folks stopped by his shop on the gulf coast of Texas. My father will be missed. Over the next few months I’ll be selling his “Fishing Stuff”.
