Offered is a lovely large Washoe Indian Single-Rod Bowl Basket, dated to the 1920s from the original shop that obtained it.This lovely basket measures 9\" across and 5\" tall.
It is made of Willow and Bracken fern, with some of the design created from different shades of willow.
It came from the inventory of the store, Pacific Western Traders, which specialized in Native American items (not sure if it is in business anymore).
The original price was $350 and it retains the original tag. It also has some dried California Bay (Pepperwood) inside as an insect repellant (as found). Displays beautifully. Please look carefully at pictures and read description. It is slightly misshapen. . It looks like someone may have put glue or a shellac as a stabilizer on some of the willow pieces because they are slightly darker and shiny and there may be beginnings of cracks or slight wear to the rods in some of those places. However, the basket is still solid, stable, and a nice piece of Native American Basketry.

Many of our Quill Boxes come from Manitoulin Island, where we spend part of each summer. We hate to let some of these items go but with our children in college, it\'s time to liquidate some of the collection and share our items with others.
