Very rare LL model LeBlanc with covered keys. The keys are like a saxophone and particularly comfortable for those with arthritic fingers or younger players who have trouble reaching the key holes in a regular clarinet. The \"LL\" model LeBlanc (named after Leon LeBlanc, founder of the famous line of French clarinets) has a broader sound, more suited to jazz and band music than the focused tone of the \"Symphonie\" model LeBlanc.The serial number places the clarinet in 1976 manufacture. there are no cracks or loose rings and the pads are all new. This clarinet has an additional custom Rosewood barrel that brings out the upper tones.The keys are rhodium plated, Rhodium is considered best in class of all the platinum metals for resistance to corrosion and tarnish.
