Make Your Own Dog Food Wet/Dry Pets With Allergies For Sale

Let me share my experience with you, and my dog food recipes may be useful in improving your dog\'s life. I have a Chow mix named Mutt. He is about 7 years old now. He became a member of my family when my husband and I got married. He was 3, and had never had a bath. I started attending to him and realized he had some bad skin problems. I took him to my Vet, who performed detailed allergy tests. He is allergic to all poultry products, wheat, white potatoes, and a massive amount of environmental allergens....grass seed, etc. He is even allergic to mosquitoes, but also allergic to the ingredient in the flea/tick product that repels them.. (For that we use Frontline Plus without the mosquito protection). He was very overweight, almost 100 pounds. He was miserable. I had to start clipping all of his hair off so that his skin could breathe. When I realized that the dry food for Mutt that had been recommended to us contained some of the things he was allergic to, I got desperate. I started making my own wet and dry dog food. This listing is for my recipe. Mutt is now around 75 pounds and running like a puppy again. If you know what your dog is allergic to, this may be the right diet for him/her. I would like to update this listing by telling you that Mutt died last Friday, January 21st, 2011. We believe that he had cancer in his throat/chest. He was congested and the meds weren\'t helping. Although his heart and lungs were strong, they were unable to get a clear x-ray to confirm the problem. He was suffering so badly that I took him back to the vet and stayed with him until he took his last breath. The heart worm treatment and years of allergies had so compromised his ability to fight off his illness that he no longer had the ability to fight. I like to think that the efforts we made in his last 5 1/2 years improved his life. I know he improved mine. I actually came to this listing tonight to end it, because he had died and I felt I had failed him. Reconsidering because it can still help another dog. I think the purest form of love comes in babies and dogs.
