Marantz 2252b Receiver 52WPC Repaired, Recapped, Serviced, LEDs For Sale

This Marantz Stereophonic Receiver quit playing years agowhen the protection relay failed. On evaluation no component failures wereotherwise identified. All four output transistors are original Marantz andtested good. Both main filter caps were bulging but had not leaked. Lamps weremostly all burnt out. The receiver was disassembled, cleaned and all boardsevaluated. All electrolytics on the power supply and power amplifier boardswere replaced, and a new Omron protection relay was installed. At this pointthe receiver powered on perfectly well, relay clicked, and voltage set to 35VDCper the manual. All the controls, buttons, rotary switches etc were treatedwith zero residue contact cleaner then treated with a final application ofFaderLube. The preamp and tone control areas were recapped with newelectrolytics. AM and FM boards were working well and not changed. Finalsettings of idle current and DC off-set were adjusted per the service manual.The receiver sounds wonderful, has good power, receives AM and FM stations verywell and has good FM stereo separation. All inputs and outputs are workingproperly. All dial and meter lamps were replaced with soft white LEDs. Stereoand dial pointer lamps are working well. All indicator lamps are working well.Cosmetically this receiver is in nice shape, a few nicks and scratches on thefaceplate and metal case, see photos, but no bent metal or damaged dial area.
