Scarce and MINT condition \"USM4\" marked bayonet for the M1 carbine. This was made in Norway, early post war for use on their M1 carbines. They are very good quality bayonets....identical to the WWII US version. Blade is just over 6 1/2\" long w/no sharpening at all. Guard is tight, marked \"USM4\" over a Crowned K, which is the mark for the Norwegian Kongsberg Arsenal. The leather grip w/plastic end spacers is minty. Pommel is clean and also has the arsenal mark. Bayonet comes in a \"USM8A1 P.W.H.\" marked scabbard, also in A+ shape. Very nice set and hard to find variant.
