Here\'s an exceptionally nice, beautifully decorated New England hand crank sewing machine. As you can see in the photographs, condition is excellent to near mint throughout. Pristine original enamel, pristine original floral decorations. The flowers\' colors are so crisp and so vibrant, the leaves and petals almost appear to be three dimensional. Clean original hardware, with no restoration, no touch-ups, no repairs. Nor are than any improvised or reproduction parts. Virtually no significant enamel wear on the casting and minimal tarnish on the nickel-plated parts. The crank turns easily and the machine quietly and smoothly. Gears all mesh properly, and there are no \"stiff\" areas. Tight tolerances everywhere. By any measure, this Civil War era machine is immaculate. You will likely never find a nicer original example anywhere.
