Here is a nice early squatty ONION bottle, probably 1750-1760s? Not sure where this one is from, I would assume it is English or Dutch, however it is quite different from your typical onion. The color is a pleasing medium green, or yellowish green, and it has lots of bubbles throughout. The form seems to be a little smaller than typical onions, maybe a 3/4\" size? This one has a nicelyapplied string or band lip. Open pontil base, and some wear. This was purchased from a Boston estate sale.
This one is in amazing condition! It has some light wear, anda little interior residue, but fine condition throughout. It is not rough as so many of the \"shipwreck\" bottles from this era are. It really is a cool find, and would be a great bottle for your early glass and artifacts / relics collection!
Being 250 years old, this piece is really quite remarkable!
Guaranteedauthentic, and as described.
