Offered is a lovely and rare, fine, old Northwest Coast Nuu-Chuh-Nulth Makah Nootka abalone shell covered Basket from late 1800s to early 1900s.
These shell baskets are hard to find these days.
It measures 3 3/4\" by 2 3/4\".
Please see pictures for any condition issues. The vegetable dyes have faded a bit. There is a hairline crack in one part of the the shell, but it isn\'t disintegrating. Slight nicking/rubbing at edges of basket and a few dark spots.
