Museum Quality!!! The EARLY 19th century QUIVER it is 28 1/2 \" long X 4\" wide, the fringe adds another 2\" to the width. The strap is about 1\" wide. this quiver is the REAL DEAL!!! this was not made for the tourist trade. It was used a lot and for many, many years. The hide is dripping with patina and age. The quiver is complete, it never had a bow case. It\'s much earlier than the typical ones you find. The hide is dark and shows lots of use and age but is NOT stiff, it is very soft almost like antelope hide. There is a red vermilion painted stripe down the spine and traces of the red paint in the fringe too. 100 % old and original. One of the arrows has \"lightning groves\" with trace amounts of red paint in the groves. A plains Indian belief is that they received the knowledge of the arrow from lightning, adding the grove to the arrow gives it the power of lightning. Both arrows are about 25\" long and have hand made iron trade points showing file marks. Both arrows have ownership marks painted by the fletchings in natural blue and red. Here\'s your chance to buy some real arrows instead of the fake ones made by the guys in Tennessee and Texas.... you know who you are. no doubt old. GREAT PATINA! ********************We are making room in our museum for new items and I will be listing more Native American items throughout the week, make sure to check back.
