Cabinet:The dark walnut cabinet boasts gorgeous wood grainthroughout the set with an eye appealing waterfall top design. Tapered trim onthe bottom, complimented by scalloped trim on the top, adds an elegant touch.The large Art Deco grill not only looks great but allows for ultimate soundfrom the speaker. It all comes together magnificently when powered up and thelarge, bright black dial comes to life. What an amazing sight, especially in adimly lit room. You’ll be the envy of all with this masterpiece proudly displayedin any room of your home or office.

Dial/Knobs:Just look at Zenith’s famous, large black dialdisplaying all the AM and shortwave frequencies! Nothing compares. And this oneis as good as it gets. All numbers and letters representing stationfrequencies, and country names, are legible and show no signs of wear. Two newdial lamps illuminate the dial nice and bright. The broadcast scale glows whiteand green while the shortwave and police scales glow red and yellow. The dialglass is clear and free from any chips, cracks, or breaks. The airplane style’Z’ pointer is perfect and turns nicely around the dial. This set also featuresa sleek red pointer for split second vernier tuning with pinpoint accuracy. Allfour new ‘Z’ knobs are perfect and work as follows: tone, on/off & volume,tuning, and band switch.

Electronics/Chassis: All tubes in the5 tube chassis were tested with any weak tubes being replaced. All caps, filters, and resistors were checked and replaced as needed. All brittle or bare wiring was replaced or re-insulated. The chassis has been cleaned, lubed, and re-aligned for optimal performance. With the included copper line antenna the radio performs exceptionally well.I\'m able to pick up many stations, near and far,across the AM broadcast and shortwave bands withbeautifultone and plenty of volume.

The Cabinet’s Finish & Restoration Process: Our Radio cabinets undergo avigorous restoration process. Our goal is to maintain the natural beauty of thewood and grain, while providing a deep luster and shine. We achieve this byremoving all the old and worn lacquers and stains. We then sand the cabinetwith fine grit pads down to the original bare wood. Nicks, chips, and blemishesare filled and/or blended. Any loose veneer is re-secured. We make sure any fillerapplied or repairs made are blended nicely and do not detract from the beautyof the set unless otherwise noted. New stains and sealers are applied by hand.We continue by using many coats of Mohawk brand lacquers and toners applied inthe same manner as when the radio was originally finished in the factory. Weuse a nitrocellulose piano lacquer which is applied through a professional HVLPturbine spray system in a climate controlled room. Nitrocellulose lacquer isvery thin. We also apply very thin coats. This allows the lacquer to seep intothe grain and not cover it up. A fine grit wet sanding follows every third coatalong with a polishing process and ending with an Oz glaze rub. Many hours ofwork are put into the radios, but as you can see, the final outcome is abeautiful, natural looking cabinet with gorgeous luster& shine. My radios are expertly packed using oversized boxes, many layers ofbubble wrap, and several inches of packing peanuts surrounding each side of theradio so you can be assured they arrive safely. USPS economy is my defaultshipping method to save on shipping charges. USPS Priority or UPS can berequested at a higher rate.

Policies / Warranty: Weoffer a 14 day money back guarantee (buyer pays return shipping withprofessional packing) if the radio has been grossly misrepresented. Our radiosare accurately described and in working order when shipped out. In rareinstances however, as with any vintage electronics, minor problems can occurduring shipment due to the age and delicacy of antique radio parts. If yourradio arrives and does not work please let us know. We will gladly walk youthrough the process of troubleshooting to get it started. If that fails tocorrect the problem we will pay for return shipping to us, diagnose and fix theproblem, and return the radio to you. We also offer a 30 day warranty on all the tubes, capacitors,resistors, and filters. Due to the design of some antique radio parts we cannotwarranty transformers, coils, tuners, and speakers. However, if at any timethese parts would happen to fail, we will assist in repairing or replacing thedefective part at minimal cost. Finally, in very rare instances, ifthere is shippingdamage aUSPS insurance claim request must be made to me from the buyer immediately uponreceipt of the radio. A USPS inspection of the radio, boxes, and all packingmaterials is required. The refund will be issued upon USPS approval and paymentof the insurance claim.
