Old Fighting Knife w/ Coffin Handle Bowie Forged Vintage 11\" Dagger Toothpick NR ... Measures 16.25\" OAL. Fully forged blade its 11.25\". This was probably made by the late Robert Marek of Berkeley, CA. The hand forging is wonderful, expertly done. All steel mounts including forward pointing full guard, steel bolster and pommel cap. Full tang is peened over. The wood looks like ebony to me. The blade is about full, has small pitting scars, patina, some scratches and a little rust. Everything is tight and strong. The knife weighs a little over 1 pound. The blade is approx 14\" thick at the guard. The handle has some age appropriate use marks, surface wear, nothing that is any sort of remarkable damage. This is a fine knife...very formidable and classic in form. Please note I will be unavailable for some days during the course of this listing.
