Up for sale is an original ww2 German 84/98 K98 Mauser rifle combat bayonet in overall excellent condition. The blade is marked COF 44 (Carl Eickhorn 1944) and serial numbered 4880b. The blade measures 9 7/8 inches long. The blade blueing rates approx. 95% The blade has not been sharpened and is nick and damage free. The wooden grips are in excellent to mint condition, no cracks or splits. The pommel button functions perfectly. The scabbard is marked COF 44 (Carl Eickhorn 1944 .) The scabbard has a few dings to the reverse, nothing serious. The scabbard blueing rates approx. 90% with some light patina. A nice late war combat bayonet. COF bayonets are rated as scarce.
