Up for sale is a k98 84/98combat bayonet for the Mauser rifle. Very rare police starburst acceptance proof marked bayone made by a scarce and highly desirable maker. Blade measuresapprox.9 7/8 inches long. The blade has not been sharpened and is nick and damage free. The blade blueing rates approx. 85%. The blade ismarked 42 COF , (1942 Carl Eickhorn) andserial number 8338d. Thebakelitegrips are in overallexcellentcondition, no splits or cracks.The pommel button works perfectly. The scabbard is dent free, just a few micro dings and some very light scattered pitting. Scabbard blueing rates approx 85%. The scabbard is marked 42 COF and serial number 9414d, not matching, but not very far off. COF bayonets are rated scarce and police marked bayonets are rare .
