ORIGINAL J&E STEVENS BULL DOG CAST IRON MECHANICAL BANK c.1880 For Sale

This sale features an Original Antique J&E Stevens Bull Dog Cast Iron Mechanical Bank, circa 1880. Measuring 7-3/4\" X 8\" the amusing action involves the mouth opening by lever to seemingly swallow coins. Place the coin on the nose of the dog and as the tail is pulled, the dog will throw the coin off, catch it in his mouth and swallow it. The bank has remained in very good condition, missing the eyes and cover for coins, all original paint. Incised on the base; PATD APR 27 1890. Questions are welcome.
