ORIGINAL NEAR MINT NOMURA MECHANIZED SPACE ROBOT TIN WITH ORIGINAL BOX 1950’S JAPAN TN CO, BATTERY OPERATED

This sale is for an original near mint Nomura Mechanized Space Robot, battery operated tin toy made in the 1950’s by Nomura/Showa made in Japan.This toy comes complete with the original box and inserts! This is an excellent example of the real Robby in near mint condition. Please see the pictures and watch the video to judge for yourself.

This Robby is the first version with the round battery knobs.This robot has a very brilliant sheen to the black paint. Both battery compartments, one on each leg, are very clean. Each leg takes one D-cell battery. This toy was tested on July 15, 2014 and he works excellently. When activated both antennas on the head spin, the pistons in the face go up and down with tremendous speed and precision as it lights up and glows!His legs move him along and his green mouth piece lights up. Both hands are near perfect. He has some light minor scratches but is about as MINT as they come! Hisfeet bottoms have some factory touch-up paint.The face dome for this toy is made of plastic and has one small light scuff and some tiny stress cracks but be assured the dome is attached very securely and is about as good as they come this old. \"MADE IN JAPAN\" is clearly stamped between his legs.

Thisspace robot is an amazing addition for any robot, space, tin toycollector. This robot is fun to play with and is a perfect addition to any display case.

The artful box is original and colorful. Curiously, it portrays a Red Robby Robot standing on a planet facing the moon and stars as he sends a signal out to space.There is a crease line that runs from the top left corner to thebottom of the box but it does not impact the integrity of the box. The box has very light wear, expected andnormal considering the age of this toy and it was manufactured forchildren.The box comes with original insert.
