This is a original WW1 U.S. M1905 bayonet /Short sword, maker marked on both sides of blade \"U.S. 731301\", and on other side \"S.A. And United States logo \" dated 1917. Blade measures approx. 16\", overall 20 1/2\", has the side lock at the side cross guard that locks into the scabbard , push button release. No loose parts. Scabbard is also intact w/U.S. Markings, and logo. See photos. This is a rare fine piece of U.S history! Good luck buyers!
