Original RUNNING Whizzer motorbike!
My father purchased this bike in Lebanon, PA back in 1953 when he was 19 and we\'ve had it in the family ever since. Unsure of the exact model or year.
Identifying marks on the bikeMotor #2204 W1 - this would indicate it is a vintage Whizzer motor from approx 1950 +/-
Frame #G15178 - this would indicate the frame is a Schwinn from early December 1952 or perhaps a 1948 Cleveland Welding Co. Roadmaster - I\'m uncertain because the badge is missing from the stem tube.Recent historyThe Whizzer has spent most of it\'s life in the attic of my family\'s garage until about 10 years ago my father decided to have the engine and carb rebuilt and fit it with new tires and inner tubes (the rear tube is currently flat). I\'ve ridden this bike and it\'s surprisingly quick! I\'ve included several photos as well as the copy of the letter from the man who rebuilt the carb in 2005. I\'ve kept the bike in my basement under a blanket for the past 5 years. (I live in a smoke free home)
ConditionThe bike appears to be in the original condition as far as paint. There are small dings here and there, but nothing significant. Replacement aftermarket fenders will be included with the sale, as well as the reprinted owners manual, and any other spare parts.
ShippingLocal pick up preferred, however if the buyer can arrange shipping, I can have the bike placed on a wood pallet for freight delivery.
Please ask any questions before offerding. I have limited knowledge of the bike itself, but I can certainly answer any questions concerning the bikes condition.
US buyers only. Paypal preferred.Happy offerding!

Found the Serial # on the motor is:H-93425.
In March of 1946 Whizzer announced the availability of the new Model \"H.\" This new engine featured a one-piece crankcase that replaced the old two-piece case, a crankshaft that used roller bearings at one end and a ball bearing at the other, more reliable seals, and a Tillotson carburetor. The Model \"H\" was more reliable and popular than any other Whizzer model. It has a low fin head with the spark plug leaning towards the left side. The serial numbers run from H 501 thru H 140 000. (139,000 engines) The gas tank is plain silver/gray with a yellow decal on each side, and the compression release and throttle control are two thumb controls mounted on the right handlebar. The clutch lever is on the left handlebar. The carburetor is a Tillotson ML-5B. The valves are 3/4 inch in diameter. The crankcase holds 6 oz. of oil. The engine develops a whopping 2.5 horsepower.
