This sale is for an ORIGINAL World War Two United States Army Air Forces Troop Carrier Command Officer\'s Complete Uniform Grouping. This sale consists of the four pocket coat with DIs and all insignia, trousers with officer\'s belt, shirt, tie, garrison / overseas cap, visor hat, an Air Transport Command Patch and Two Stout Field Match Covers. This is an unidentified grouping and we have no history on it, but it is a nice uniform that displays well just the same. All items are nice, larger than average sizes but show varying degrees of age, wear, use and in the case of some items, neglect. PLEASE Examine all Photos Closely, Read the Entire Description and Ask Any Questions that You May Have. If you plan to try to wear this uniform, please know your sizes and measure clothing items that fit you well in the same manner that we describe below. !!! Please Read Entire Description1. WWII US Army Air Forces Troop Carrier Command Officer\'s Four Pocket Coat - VERY GOOD CONDITION - Four Pocket Dark OD Wool Elastique Dress Coat shows NO Mothing, NO Soiling and NO Staining and maintains good color. It shows minor signs of age, wear, use and long term storage as it is a bit dusty and could use to be dry cleaned and pressed to be made to look \"crisp.\" There is NO Damage to any of the material and all visible stitching remains very solid and undamaged. To the left shoulder is an early war style cut edge embroidered wool USAAF Winged Star Insignia / Patch that shows minor age and light soiling. Lieutenant Colonel Pin Back Rank Insignia to Both Shoulders, show age, wear and tarnish but may clean up nicely. Enamel, Pin Back Troop Carrier Command DIs to both shoulders as well and show varying degrees of age, wear and use. The DI to the right shoulder is in GOOD Condition and the DI to the Left Shoulder is in FAIR Condition with wear and light scratches. The Lapels Maintains a VERY GOOD CONDITION Set of Gilt \"US\" and Winged Propeller AAF Officer Insignia that are PIN BACK and display very well. To the Left Chest is a Pin Back Ribbon Bar with American Defense, American Campaign and WWII Victory Ribbons. The ribbons are original WWII and in Good to Very Good Condition. They appear to be private purchase and stitched to the bar. The INTERIOR of the Coat is in VERY GOOD CONDITION with minor signs of age, wear and use. It was manufactured by Hart, Schaffner and Marx and maintains this Original Tag as well as its \"Regulation Army Officer\'s Uniform\" and Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot Tags. The QMD Bears a Date of 7 MAY 1042, No Size is Listed. By MY Measurements the Coat is a SIZE 42 REGULAR. The MEASUREMENTS Are: CHEST = 21 1/2 Inches From Center Armpit Seam to Center Armpit Seam Measured Across the Front When Buttoned and Laying Flat; BACK = 19 1/2 Inches Measured From Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam Across the Upper Back Just Below the Collar; SLEEVES = 24 1/4 Inches From Top Shoulder Seam to Cuff. The coat maintains its original belt in very good, undamaged condition, but like the coat, it could use to be dry cleaned and is dusty. The coat has brass belt hangers to the rear and both the coat as well as the belt have small snaps to fasten the belt to the rear of the coat. 2. WWII USAAF Officer\'s Khaki Dress Shirt With AAF Patch - POOR CONDITION - Shirt shows age, wear, use and neglect. There is a large stain and damage to the front lower right shirt tail / skirt that is either where a spill effected the material or perhaps even fire damaged it (see photos). There is also a stain of the same type to the lower rear tail, but it is not damaged. There is some light scattered mothing and soiling as well. The largest spot of mothing is slightly smaller than a pencil eraser and to the upper right rear near the shoulder. All buttons remain present, firmly stitched and in excellent condition. To the Left Shoulder the Shirt Maintains an Excellent Condition early WWII Style Cut Edge Embroidered Wool AAF Patch, the same type as on the coat. Size tag to the collar lists the shirt as a SIZE 14 1/2 - 33. THE MEASUREMENTS ARE: CHEST = 22 Inches from armpit to armpit when buttoned and laying flat; SLEEVES = 25 Inches from top shoulder seam to cuff; BACK = 17 Inches from Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam measured across the upper back just below the collar. This Shirt is Damaged and shows considerable age, wear and use, BUT it displays well under the coat and none of its issues are visible when the coat is over it. 4. WWII US Army Officer\'s \"Pink\" Dress Trousers - EXCELENT CONDITION - These trousers show only very light signs of age, wear and use. They are of excellent quality and remain very solid. There is NO Mothing or Damage to any of the stitching or material, inside or out. There is NO readily appearent soiling, but there are several VERY small specs or dots to the front waist area. They are very hard to see and only visible under close inspection. They may dry clean away quite easily. The trousers Maintain EXCELLENT Color with NO Fading or age darkening. The interior waistband and pocket liners show minor age and wear, but remain solid and undamaged. There are no tags or size markings and by MY Measurements the trousers are a SIZE 36 x 30. They have 2 3/4 INCHES of HEM in the Cuffs to Be Let Out and Made Longer. The MEASUREMENTS ARE: WAIST = 36 1/4 Inches measured all the way around with a seamstress / tailor\'s tape when buttoned and laying flat; OVERALL LENGTH = 41 Inches measured from the top of the waistband to the cuff; INSEAM = 30 INCHES Measured from crotch to cuff straight down the interior seam of the leg. Very nice looking set of original WWII \"Pink\" trousers that display very well. 4A. WWII US Army Officer\'s Khaki Web Waist Belt - FAIR to GOOD CONDITION - Belt shows light age and wear with some soiling to the webbing of the belt. Metal end keeper shows wear to the finish. Nice Army Officer\'s Eagle Crest Brass Belt Buckle in Good Condition but shows light age and wear to the finish as well. With a light cleaning and polishing, would most likely clean up to look very nice. 5. WWII US Army Officer\'s Khaki Wool Dress Tie - VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT CONDITION - Officer Quality Private Purchase Tie that is light weight and most likely constructed of a wool blend. It shows minor signs of age, wear and could use to be dry cleaned and pressed. A few spots of very light soiling that are quite hard to see and will most likely clean away quite easily. There are no tags or markings to the tie and it is BY FAR the LONGEST WWII Army Officer\'s Tie that we have ever seen! We can find NO Mothing or Wear to the Edges. Very good looking tie that remains in a very good state of preservation and is nicer than the majority of the WWII ties we see.6. WWII US Army Officer\'s Garrison / Overseas Cap with Rank Insignia - FAIR CONDITION - Shows age, wear, use and long term storage. No apparent mothing but shows wear and age to the wool material and piping. Interior shows soiling from wear and is cloth lined with a cloth sweatband. Needs to be dry cleaned and pressed. Has a dusty, folded for seventy years appearance. The Pin Back Lieutenant Colonel Rank Insignia shows age, wear and tarnish but appears as though it may clean up quite nicely. With pressing and dry cleaning the cap will most likely display well. Approximately a Size 7. 7. WWII US Army Officer\'s Visor Hat - FAIR CONDITION - Shows age, wear, use, long term storage and some neglect. The Good News is there is NO Apparent Mothing to the Wool Upper and it Maintains GOOD Color with only minimal fading. There is Wear to the wool at the Front Above the Gilt Army Officer\'s Cap Device. The leather visor shows age and wear, the chinstrap shows age and wear, the interior shows considerable age and wear with some damage to the sweatband and the interior plastic sweat guard. The sweat guard is torn and the sweat band has areas of missing stitches and cracking and flaking to the leather. It remains firmly in the cap even with the issues. To the Interior Crown the hat is marked \"McCOURT BROTHERS - TULARE - PORTERVILLE, CORCORAN, CALIF.\" The gold gilt side buttons show considerable wear and appear that someone tried very hard to clean them. The Gold Gilt Army Officer\'s Cap Device to the Front Shows Age and Wear as well with a very small spot of corrosion that may clean away. It could definitely use to be polished. The hat is approximately a SIZE 7 1/4. Even as it is, the hat displays relatively well, but it may look even better with a little cleaning and care. 8. Troop Carrier Command Patch and Stout Field Match Covers - VERY GOOD CONDITION - These were found in the left chest pocket when we obtained this uniform and are obviously souvenirs that belonged to the original owner. The patch maintains very good color and is very solid. Appears to have never been attached to a uniform. The match covers are from I Troop Carrier Command, Stout Field, Indianapolis, Indiana. One Shows the I Troop Carrier Command Insignia with a C-47 Towing a Glider and the Other bears the Insignia and Reads \"Officer\'s Mess.\" Both of the match covers remain very solid and maintain very good color. No tears or damage. Both the Match Covers and Patch look very nice and are great items to display with the uniform. Overall, this grouping displays quite well. The coat and trousers are great pieces and with some dry cleaning and pressing, should appear crisp and clean. Please do not be expecting all of these items to be in nice, pretty advanced collector grade condition because they are not! This is a very nice collection for the entry to mid level collector or as a place holder in your collection until you can find a better Troop Carrier Grouping. We Will NOT Accept Returns on the Collection Based on it Not Fitting You! PLEASE Examine All Photos Closely, Read the Entire Description and Ask Any Questions that You May Have.
