Paiute Washoe Indian Beaded Basket Native American Basketry Bernheimer 1920s For Sale

Offered is a Washoe Indian Beaded basket from the Bernheimer Collection. It had its inventory number #45 inside. This lovely basket in gold, orange, blue, white and yellow beads measures 2 1/2\" by 2\". It does have some condition issues: Please see pictures. In three areas the stitches have loosened, showing small gaps. No beads are actively coming loose, but you can see the gaps.
In the guide book of Bernheimer\'s collection, this basket is not directly described or attributed to an artist; however, I\'ll include the page describing baskets #42 and #46, as this was most likely collected at the same time. These were unattributed baskets from the 1920s and identified at Washoe or a mixture of Washoe and Paiute beadwork.
This came from an extensive collection by George Bernheimer, who had one of the largest collections of these baskets in the world. Some of his pieces were recently offered for sale.
