Pioneer SX 1980 Professionally Rebuilt For Sale

Here is your chance to own a one-of-a-kindmasterpiece!! This has had an unprecedented complete rebuild. Not just serviced, not just recapped. Every board was depopulated, stripped clean of solder, repopulated with the absolute best caps and resisters, painstakingly matched for values. The power supply board was damaged so was sent out and repaired by Circuit Technology Center, Massachusetts. My understanding is that they haveworked onboards for NASA.The unit is near perfect, with very little signs of wear. There is a screw missing from the wood enclosure. The glass is flawless, it even has the station markers. There has been miniature heat sinks and copper shielding added, as well as rewiring in some areas. The sound is spectacular with over 300 watts per channel before clipping. Includes original 1980 shipping box (which it will be packed in and then boxed by UPS), original service manual (in fair shape) and a copy of the owners manual. All work was performed by master tech Ed Brown - you can check him out on DIY audio. He has also done referral work for one of the top techs at Audio Karma.
