Pioneer SX-850 Stereo Receiver Fully Restored All New Parts For Sale

First off I would like to say thank you to my past and repeat customers, and hello, and welcome, to my new customers. Unlike many (not all) \"Techs\" on who \"Restore\", \"Service\", or \"Rebuild, my restorations are REAL restorations, I use all new parts, new Nichicon, Panasonic, and United Chemicon capacitors, Fairchild and On-Semi transistors. Every board inside the unit is restored, all new caps, new transistors, and diodes when needed. I do not rebuild the tuner board, as many professional techs will tell you, \"if it works leave it alone\". Changing the capacitors in the tuner can throw the tuner out of alignment and that can be a nightmare. All dial lamps are changed out to new OEM versions. The wooden cabinet is also restored, which not too many want to take on. I make every effort to bring a piece of classic audio from yesterday back to prominence again, it gives me a good feeling when I can resurrect a broken down old piece of metal and glass and make it look so good that people want to display it in their living rooms. Here we have a very nice Pioneer SX-850 receiver. This receivercame to me DOA and a basket case. I have done a complete overhaul on thisunit and now plays like new. I have painstakingly changed all electrolyticcapacitors on the power supply board, the phono amp board, the flat ampboard, the control board, the power amp board, and the protection board. Also all the transistors, and most diodeshave been replaced in this unit. Mechanically this receiver is like or betterthan new, and it should bring many more years of listening pleasure to it’s newowner. As you can see, and as you will hear, it sounds like a blast from thepast. I have hand cleaned every PC board in this unit, I have re-soldered anysuspect cold solders. I have cleaned and lubed all switches and pots withDeOxit and Faderlube for perfect pinpoint controls. I have replaced the diallamps and some of the selection lamps, every lamp in this receiver works as itshould. I have also set the voltages for the power supply, forward bias,and dc offset to factory specifications. The faceplate and all the knobs wereremoved and cleaned in a combination of warm water and mild soap, the faceplate is very attractive and wouldlook fantastic in any room of your home. I polished each knob and the faceplatewith Blue Magic metal cleaner...looks great and shines very brilliantly. There are a few scratches on the faceplate and also along the top edge of the faceplate(very common for these models). They are visible in picture #3 in my gallery. Thewooden case is very nice, there is some slight veneer chipping on the right side of the casing, you will not notice it unless you look for it, and is visible in picture #6 in my gallery. I have sanded, stained, and put 3 coats of Danish Oilon it. Thepictures speak for themselves. The faceplate and the wooden casing are both very presentable. This receiver pushes out 65 old schoolwatts per channel and that is an understatement, this sounds more like a 100-120watt receiver. This will blow the doors of anything produced today. The tuneris exceptional, pulling stations that some of the many many units I have workedon could not get. This receiver has been playing continuous for the past 48 hours with no issues, the heatsink is cool to the touch after that much of a workout. Overall I will miss this receiver, I have workedcountless hours on it, and it is difficult to part with. I certainly love theSX-850, it is one of my favorite Pioneers and a pleasure to be able to share mywork with customers like you.
