PRE WWII JAPANESE ARMY COMPANY GRADE OFFICER TYPE 19 KYU GUNTO SWORD-COMBAT TYPE For Sale

Very good condition and guaranteed original pre WWIIJapanese army company grade officer Type 19 Kyu Gunto sword that is a combatissue piece, Not a dress sword. Blade measures 27 ¼” from the brass habaki tothe tip and has original bright finish with some gray. Edge has several tinynicks. Brass fittings have nice mellow color and cherry blossom designs. Whitesharkskin grip has tight wire wrap and a small crack on the right side. Tanghas untouched patina and is not marked. Grip is held to the tang with a singlewooden mekugi. The screw on top of the ferrule may be a replacement. Scabbardlatch button functions fine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that hasnice original bright plated finish with a few areas of flaking and a few smalldings, no major dents. A nice, hard to find Type 19 Kyu Gunto that will make afine addition to your collection.
