This is a professional model two-piece Grenadilla wood bass clarinet by Selmer Paris France. It has older pads and will need servicing before its ready to play its next gig. Our shop is just slammed so we\'re letting this one go \"as is\". The keywork is nickel-silver and goes down to low Eb. There is a small (1 inch) filled crack just above the logo (see photos) on the upper joint. Otherwise, the wood is in exceptional condition. There are no tenon chips or cracks. The bell is a replacement bell with end-pin holder and fits perfectly on this bass clarinet. More importantly, the neck is in excellent condition. If you have your favorite local tech or do some repairs yourself, this is a great opportunity to own a Selmer-Paris made all wood bass clarinet at a bargain price. The serial number is N4965 which I believe dates it to about 1950. Ships in the original compact case in good working order.
