This listing is for an authentic, vintage, red printed quart, clear glass, milk bottle from a Mooresville, North Carolina dairy- about 9-1/2\" tall.Red Graphics:\" R. S. Edmiston & Sons , Mooresville, N.C. \" and on the back -- JUST JERSEYS.Embossed on the lower neck - NC APPROVED ; below that is \"One Quart Liquid\".Near the front base, very small is MLX995(I think) and \"Registered\" (larger letters); on the reverse is : Sealed BB48The base is embossed with a large E under the diamond OI trademark used from 1929 to 1950\'s.On the left is number\"18\" which I believe is the plant code for Columbus OH which produced bottles from 1930 through 1948The \"0\" to the right is the date code and might stand for 1930. (or possibly 1940)
The red lettering is bright, but there are some scratches on the glass and through some of the lettering. There are 3 small flea-bites on rim of bottle, but no major cracks or chips.This was definitely used, but in relatively good condition for it\'s age and use. Overall good displayable condition.I do as a hobby and enjoy searching estate and tag sales. Sometimes I help friends or family members sell their items. I try to photograph and describe as accurately as possible. Photos were taken in natural indoor light and may have reflections or shadows. ~ please examine the photos closely - they are considered part of the description.
