These units are based on the R820T tuner IC made by Rafael Micro. As such, they have a frequency capability of approximately 25MHz-1750MHz, though this can vary somewhat from unit to unit. There is also an RTL2832U IC on board of course, which acts as the demodulator and USB interface.

You will receive the USB Dongle, Antenna. The software is FREE to download at sdrsharp.com there are also other sdr programs that will work with this Dongle, sdrsharp is the most popular. There is also a very good yahoo group that you can join, there you will find a great bunch of guys that can help you. Please don\'t call me for help. If you can\'t download and install software on to your PC you should not be buying this item, it takes a tiny bit of PC skills.
