*Rare* 1939 Drucker Ranger #127 roll film camera for Leica lenses:
$272.00

THIS IS WHAT YOU\'RE offerDING FOR: Here\'s a rare one for you, the only American made camera for #127 roll film that accepts Leica screw mount lenses! Unique! This is a Ranger, a simple solid body viewfinder camera with cloth focal plane shutter, introduced by Albert Drucker & Company of Chicago around 1939, marketed through Burke & James, for sixteen 1 3/16 x 1 5/8 inch (3 x 4 cm) \"half frame\" exposures on #127 roll film. It comes equipped with its equally scarce original interchangeable \"Polaris\" Anastigmat 50mm f/2.8 collapsible lens in true 39mm Leica thread mount. Not only does the camera use the same interchangeable screw mount as Leica, but also the same flange focal distance, so Leitz lenses will work on the Ranger and the Polaris lens will work on Leica! Wow! This example is excellent overall, very nicely preserved, totally complete and intact, with lively shutter action and clean optics. However, the shutter curtains don\'t properly connect together during cocking, so it\'s in need of some sort of adjustment or repair before you can actually shoot with it. Otherwise, it\'s an extremely rare and essentially unique model that would make an outstanding acquisition for any savvy camera collector. Now take a look at this amazing little gem, but don\'t forget to read all the payment and shipping information after the pics: WHEN THE sale ENDS: The winning buyer will immediately receive an invoice through \'s automated e-mail notification system. The buyer must prepay in US dollars by Paypal or some other more traditional method, and shipping is absolutely free within the USA. For worldwide buyers, please use \'s shipping calculator to determine the cost of USPS Priority Mail to your location for this 1 pound 10 ounce parcel. Now please remember, this is a very old vintage camera, not a minty new item fresh from the factory, so there\'s a chance it\'ll have some minor age related ache or pain I failed to notice, but it\'s still guaranteed to be as described, and if for some honest and understandable reason you\'re not satisfied, simply e-mail me directly and then return the piece for a full refund, in compliance with \'s guidelines, within fourteen (14) days after you receive it. Thanks for looking, and never forget, antique wood and brass and red bellows cameras rock!
