FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS AN ANTIQUE CAMERA LENS BY GEORGE CHAPMAN. THE OVERALL LENGTH OF THE BRASS LENS IS ABOUT 5.5\".
THE PIECE APPEARS TO BE ALL ORIGINAL INCLUDING THE TWO LENSES, AND IS MARKED 1566 GEO A CHAPMAN NY. THE LENS END MEASURES ABOUT 2.25\" ACROSS, WHILE THE SLEEVE END MEASURES ABOUT 2.5\" ACROSS. IT HAS A GREAT OLD PATINA BUT NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING. THE ADJUSTMENT KNOB MOVES THE THE SLEEVE FREELY. THE LENSES DO NOT APPEAR TO BE SCRATCHED BUT APPEAR DIRTY WITH DUST SPECKS INSIDE AND NEED A GOOD CLEANING. IT HAS A SMALL PATCH OF CORROSION THAT SHOULD CLEAN UP. OVERALL A HARD TO FIND, GREAT OLD ORIGINAL PIECE. ENJOY THIS EXCITING sale.
